The Tetley is a contemporary art gallery, consisting of sculptures, paintings, photographs and more. All of the gallery is based on the first floor where you follow in and out of individual rooms, each holding multiple pieces of art work.
Due to the original wall panelling, a lot of the art work is suspended from the ceiling. This allows the audience to interact with the art in a variety of ways. Giving three-dimension to two-dimensional objects. This art work in particular stood out to me with the use of a wooden strip to weight down the thin material.
As well as the hanging technique, some art works were angled diagonally. This gave the work a greater presence as it could not be ignored, altering the original shape of the room.
