Similar to Wordpress, I had to install make an account with Wix before starting any creation. It also asked specific questions about what I am wanting from your website, then it filtered 37 design options from my answers.
Once I selected a design it allowed me to make any changes I wanted. I found this host a lot more simplistic than Wordpress and Squarespace.
One of the editing tools that I have found incredibly handy is Wix's switch between website and mobile platforms. It allows you to do this while editing, saving time and ensuring the desktop website is responsive in mobile.
